Laufey Jakobsdóttir graduated from The Iceland Academy of the Arts (IAA) with a BA degree in architecture in 2013. 

Since graduation, she has worked in the field of design, photography, research-based projects as well as production of exhibitions and performances. Alongside she has attended courses in comparative cultural theory at The University of Iceland and photography at Reykjavik School of Photography.
